The man on the bike
Since I took this photograph two weeks ago I keep seeing this guy, He was the first person I photographed for this blog before I started it !! At the time he featured on my other blog www.creativeepisodeimages.blogspot.com but I removed the post because the image didn't relate to my professional portfolio. So here he is again. Other commitments have kept me away from the streets for a few days already, in the mean time, I have been thinking about how to proceed with this ... should it be reliant on fashion, or documentary of people that stand out to me locally??? I think for now I am just going to keep on the way I am and refine the blog as it progresses. Comments would really help ... that way I can see what captures my viewers imaginations.

Redruth and Porthtowan
Its been freezing temperatures here today. I decided to go to Redruth a small local town, but it was so cold (0-3 degrees C ) I didn't stay very long but I still managed to photograph a few bods, all men today, and a couple of artistic creations. Later I went to the coast to see If I could find any surfers as they are always out, the surf however was flat but I did find Declan an Jamie trying out their new surf ski.
The reason for the beard is that in the spring and summer months this guy works on life enactment shows as a cowboy from the mid-west.
And this man is from America, when I asked him what he was doing in Redruth of all places he told me he was waiting to get married to the lady of his dreams, who was just inside the shop.
Later in Porthtowan I met Declan and Jamie ... the only bods on the beach !!
Trust me, it was really really cold !

About being lazy
Because I have been so excited about hunting the streets for interesting people to photograph I have also been hasty to put the images up on the blog with very little correction. I already feel guilty about this ! SO here is a photograph that you can also find in the post below but this time I have spent a little longer on improving it. This lady is 93 years old and full of amazing stories. Apparently (she was telling me) her mother gave birth to her on a schooner where her father was a shipmate ... either that or she was conceived on one !! I lost the entire story somewhere. A remarkable woman, I am so pleased I had the pleasure of meeting her.
On the street in Truro
Out on the street, just the street and nothing else but the street way-hay. There are so many very kind and lovely people who happily posed for my blog and Id like to thank them all again. My work is still a little raw at this stage, I am working fast so as not to keep people for long, I have been taking only one picture of any subject, this means that occasionally in the image the eyes are closed or the focus is soft; however I am still including these pictures at the moment because I am keen to see how my work evolves over time✬

The influence and the act
Having been fully influenced by The Sartorialist I have taken to the streets in my local hometown in Cornwall, (south west UK), to document the people and the fashions of my county. I felt the fear and went out on the street; something I have been planning for a while !!! some of the images are a bit rough and ready, some a little bit soft in focus but today it was all about getting out there and doing it. A big thank you to the students of Truro Collage for helping me with the courage in the first instance. I can and I will now forever more✯ This was my first shoot in this style so it was all about the act of releasing my fear. I have this real buzz, its fantastic.
Here is where i made it off campus, I walked three miles from the collage into town, my fear has gone and there will be more, much more.
